soft start and soft stop occasion. When the motor is shut down, the traditional control mode is completed by the instantaneous power failure. However, there are many applications, do not allow the motor to shut down instantaneously. For example: high-rise buildings, buildings and high-lift pool pump system, if the instant shutdown, will produce a huge "water hammer" effect, so that pipes, valves, and even pump damage. In order to reduce and prevent the "Water Hammer" effect, the motor need to stop gradually, that is, soft stop, the use of soft starter can meet this requirement. In the pump station, soft parking technology can avoid the damage of the pump station valve, reduce maintenance costs and maintenance workload. The soft stop function of the soft starter is that the thyristor reduces the turn-on angle from full-on gradually after receiving the Stop Command.
